Reclaiming your coated screens.

Your screens are an important piece of equipment. You want to keep them clean. Keep your equipment in usable condition.

If the mesh has a stain you need to use some type of haze remover before you degrease the screen.

Applying emulsion remover for screen reclaiming.

After removing all traces of ink, using ink wash or ink degradent.

1) Emulsion remover is applied with a chemical resistant spray bottle on one side.

2) Using a scouring pad or soft bristle type of brush, you scrub the emulsion and the frame

3) The emulsion should start to liquefy

4) Repeat on opposite side of screen

5) Make sure not to let this dry in the screen or it will harden and never wash out.

Using the power washer to remove the emulsion from the screen

1) Turn on the power washer.

2) Point the wand next to the screen.

3) Squeeze the trigger.

4) Point the wand at the bottom of the mesh.

5) Work your way up from the bottom of the screen by spraying from side to side.

6) Flip the screen and repeat.

7) Rinse the entire screen (mesh and frame) thoroughly.

8) Proceed to degrease the screen.

Note: Industry standard is to degrease the screen after removing the emulsion. Some emulsion removers will degrease the mesh.
